Drawing on Buddhist history, "Little Buddha" is Bernardo Bertolucci's religious tour de force. A Tibetan monk believes that a 10-year-old American boy, Jesse, is the reincarnation of his spiritual teacher, Lama Dorje. Jesse's father (Chris Isaak) and mother (Bridget Fonda) are skeptical, but allow their son to travel to Bhutan to join two other candidates. Featuring Keanu Reeves as Siddhartha.
