After being attacked by an angry mob, Herman Munster finds part of a letter from his niece Marilyn in California and decides to move the family to America. But when they arrive, they find Marilyn's father, Norman, is missing and her mother, Elsa, is in a coma! As The Munsters try to adapt to their new country, they discover what happened to Norman and search for a cure to save Elsa.
